✨ Reflection: Tapping Into Your Higher Purpose✨
The Tapping Into Your Higher Purpose Conference was more than a professional gathering—it was an atmosphere of elevation, connection, and awakening. Throughout the day, I witnessed what happens when nonprofit and small business leaders come together not just to learn, but to be poured into. The conversations, the laughter, the thoughtful pauses—all reminded me that purpose-driven work is most powerful when it’s shared in community.
Each session built on the other like steppingstones toward clarity. We began by exploring how to create our legacy, grounding ourselves in the idea that legacy isn’t built in the distant future—it’s built in the everyday choices we make now. From there, we moved into shifting from stuck to solutions, a reminder that innovation often starts with a mindset shift, not a resource shift. Leaders were challenged to remove obstacles that are self-imposed and question the barriers that hold us back. Then came the charge to “Just Do It Now”—a powerful push to move past fear and hesitation, and to start moving toward your dream.
By the time I facilitated my session, “Taking Your Best Aligned Next Step,” the room felt electric. Attendees were reflecting, journaling, and sharing the next small, purposeful step they would take in their missions. We talked about how alignment requires clarity of vision, the courage to honor our values, and the wisdom to anchor our actions in capacity. I watched as faces softened in recognition—leaders realizing they don’t have to do everything, only what matters most.
Between sessions, the energy continued to grow. Vendors lined the room offering services that extended the conference’s message: opportunities for personal and organizational growth and tools for long-term impact. It wasn’t just about selling products—it was about sharing purpose. I loved seeing attendees move from booth to booth, exchanging ideas, building partnerships, and discovering new ways to strengthen their work.
But the real heart of the day was in the connections. In the table chats, the hugs between friends, the laughter echoing from tables. I saw leaders light up as they realized they weren’t alone in their challenges. I saw a sigh of relief when someone said, “I needed this.” Those moments are the ones that stay with me long after the close of the event.
As I looked around the room, seeing the smiles, the side conversations, and the genuine engagement, I felt a deep sense of gratitude. This event reminded me why I do what I do—to create spaces where leaders can pause, reflect, and remember their purpose. It reignited my own vision for Alo Civitas Consulting: to nourish communities by helping leaders build capacity for change.
I left the conference feeling refueled and inspired—reminded that purpose doesn’t grow in isolation. It flourishes in community, in shared learning, and in the courageous decision to take that next aligned step together.
If you were a conference attendee I would love to hear your thoughts and impact! We will be releasing information for the next conference in March soon.
I also wanted to share that our new digital product site is live! More products will be added soon.
